Fastening member
A fastening member 100, for mounting or attaching a fenestration or window unit bar assembly to a window unit, so as to produce the appearance of multiple smaller panes or a Georgian window. The fastening member has a body 102 a-c and a mounting region 106, where the mounting region has two opposing clip members 104 extending away from the body. When a bar member is fitted to the fastening member, the clip members flex to engage a complimentary portion of the exterior trim member to form a connection. The mounting region may have a longitudinal axis X and the clips may be offset from this. There may be three or more clip members and they may have an undercut shape. The fastener may be made from metal and may be largely U-shaped. It may have a flat rear section to stick or adhere to the surface of a window unit. A kit of parts, and a fenestration assembly comprising the fastening member are also claimed.
