Packing element 5 for a fascia panel system 1 including a body 23 having a connector formation for engaging a fascia panel connector formation, and an aperture 29 in the body for receiving a screw 7 for fixing the fascia and packing elements to a wall. The packing element connector may comprise resilient prongs 35, 37, 39, 41 protruding outwards from a body end wall. The fascia connector may comprise an aperture, slot or recess 9. The prongs may have tapered leading edges. The screw aperture 29 may be located adjacent one of the prongs. The packing element may be moulded from polypropylene thermo plastic, be hollow, and have a tube depending perpendicularly from the screw aperture. The packing element body may include side walls 27 connected to the tube by internal webbing 33. Also disclosed is a system comprising a fascia panel having an aperture, recess, or slot, the packing element, and a screw extending through the fascia panel and packing element screw aperture to fix them to a wall. The fascia apertures, recess or slots may be adjacent the periphery of the fascia, the periphery being stepped relative to a main surface of the panel.
