A flame-retardant sealing strip or tape is disclosed. It has a main body 2 made from vulcanised rubber, which has a vinyl layer 10 adhered to one side, and a layer of adhesive 4 overlaid with peelable protective layer 6 on the other side. The adhesive layer may be in the form of double-sided adhesive tape and one or both surfaces of the tape may have a scrim or mesh. The vulcanised rubber layer may have a depth of around 1 mm.
