A roof mounting
The mounting includes a hanger bolt 10 that is received through an aperture 50 on a roof material 300. The bolt has a distal end 11 that is passed through the aperture and fixed to the roof structure and a proximal end 12 with a means for attachment to an object such as a solar panel. A seal 20 is arranged around an outer circumference of the roof hanger bolt. A compression cap 30 is mounted on the roof hanger bolt. The compression cap has an adjustment means 40 for moving the compression cap along the proximal end of the roof hanger bolt to compress the seal so that seal is deformed to engage with the aperture and create a waterproof connection.
