Improved building stud for utility services
A building stud 2 comprising a web 4 and first and second flanges 6, 8 depending from the web; a member 18 formed in the web and made by a continuous cut in the web, located in an operable position outside the plane of the web. An aperture is formed in the web where the member is cut, and a conduit or cable can be secured to the member and extend through the aperture. Preferably the member has openings or slits (34, 36, fig 3D) to which the conduit or cable can be secured. Further disclosed is a stud assembly comprising a plurality of studs with a conduit or cable extending through corresponding apertures in the plurality of studs.
