Provided is a placement assistance method comprising: specifying the total rated power of a plurality of servers that are to be placed in a story of a building; predicting the total weight of the plurality of servers in accordance with the total rated power; classifying the plurality of servers into a plurality of first servers and a plurality of second servers by distributing the total weight into the plurality of servers in accordance with a server constitution ratio, wherein the weight of the second servers is smaller than the weight of the first servers; identifying the positions of a plurality of beams which support the floor of the story; positioning the plurality of first servers respectively directly above the plurality of beams; and positioning each of the plurality of second servers between adjacent first servers.
