PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric steering lock device capable of easily changing or easily and separately producing a necessary operation stroke amount of a lock member according to the necessary operation stroke of the lock member.SOLUTION: An electric steering lock device 1 includes: a magnet 33 provided in such a manner that it can move integrally with a lock bolt 31; and Hall elements 72, 73, 74 and 75 which are arranged at respective positions corresponding to a lock position and an unlock position, and which detect the position of the magnet 33. In the electric steering lock device 1, the corresponding Hall elements 72, 73 and 74, as a sensor position section configuration which can select and separately produce the corresponding Hall elements 72, 73 and 74 from a plurality of positions with regard to the lock position according to the stroke amount from the required lock position to the unlock position, are fixed to a plurality of different positions.
