INTERVAL HOLDING MEMBER FOR GLASS PANEL AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interval holding member for a glass panel capable of maintaining an interval between pieces of vacuum double layer glass without deteriorating an appearance thereof, and capable of absorbing displacement in a surface direction of glass plates, and a manufacturing method thereof.SOLUTION: An interval holding member 3 is configured to be interposed between a pair of glass plates 1, 2 when sealing a circumference of a void part 4 formed between the pair of glass plates 1, 2 with plate surfaces thereof arranged facing each other to maintain the void part 4 in a decompressed state. The interval holding member 3 includes: hard parts 6 individually abutting on the pair of glass plates 1,2; and a soft part 7 arranged between the hard parts 6 and being less hard than the hard parts 6. The soft part 7 is more prone to deform due to a shear force in a direction along facing surfaces 1A, 2A of the glass plates 1,2 than to deform due to a compression force in a depth direction perpendicular to the facing surfaces 1A, 2A.
【課題】外観を損なうことなく真空複層ガラスの間隔を保持し、板ガラス同士の面方向の位置ずれを吸収可能なガラスパネル用間隔保持部材及びその製造方法を提供する。【解決手段】板面を互いに対向させた一対の板ガラス1,2の間に形成した空隙部4の周囲を密閉し空隙部4を減圧状態に保持する際に一対の板ガラス1,2の間に介装される間隔保持部材3であって、一対の板ガラス1,2に対して各別に当接する硬質部6と、硬質部6の間に配置され硬質部6よりも低硬度の軟質部7と、を備え、軟質部7が、板ガラス1,2の対向面1A、2Aに垂直な厚み方向への圧縮力に基づく変形よりも、対向面1A,2Aに沿う方向へのせん断力に基づく変形が生じ易い。【選択図】図3
