PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the stable polishing finish, regardless of a technology of an operator, by maintaining pressure contact in a predetermined load to a rail upper surface of a polishing member over a longer time than usual, in a rail rust remover used for polishing and removing red rust of the railroad rail upper surface.SOLUTION: The rail rust remover comprises a baseplate 4 movable along a rail R, a disc-like polishing member 15 rotatably journaled in the circumferential direction by the baseplate and allowing its peripheral surface to abut on the rail upper surface, driving means 14 provided on the baseplate and rotating the polishing member in the predetermined direction, height adjustment means 16 capable of adjusting a height to the rail of the baseplate and energization means 24 for imparting energization force downward to the baseplate with height adjusted by the height adjustment means.
【課題】鉄道レール上面の赤錆を研磨して取り除くために用いるレール錆取り機において、従来よりも長時間、研磨部材のレール上面に対する所定の荷重での圧接を維持し、作業者の技術に拘わらず、安定した研磨仕上がりを得る。【解決手段】レールＲに沿って移動可能なベース板４と、前記ベース板により周方向に回転可能に軸支されると共に、その周面が前記レール上面に当接する円板状の研磨部材１５と、前記ベース板上に設けられ、前記研磨部材を所定方向に回転させる駆動手段１４と、前記ベース板の前記レールに対する高さを調整可能な高さ調整手段１６と、前記高さ調整手段により高さ調整された前記ベース板に対し、下方に付勢力を与える付勢手段２４とを備える。【選択図】図１
