PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stairs-space structure capable of easily installing a bottom plate backing, and capable of also improving an aesthetic appearance of an eaves soffit.SOLUTION: In a stairs-space of a building where an outer wall of the lower floor enters the indoor side more than an outer wall of the upper floor, a projection member (30) projects to the outdoor side from a stairs-space skeleton part (10), and an indoor side ceiling backing surface (90a) extends to the indoor side from the stairs-space skeleton part (10). A bottom surface (30b) of the projection member (30) is positioned on a lower end surface (10a) of the stairs-space skeleton part, and a roof side backing surface (90a) is positioned on the lower end surface (10a) of the stairs-space skeleton part. The projection member (30) includes a bracket (32) having a receiving part (320) on the lower end surface and a bottom plate backing (36) extending in the width direction by being received to the receiving part (320) of the bracket (32) and having its under surface positioned on the bottom surface (30b) of the projection member.
