PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spark plug that has plural insulating members and is enhanced in strength.SOLUTION: A spark plug includes a first insulating member having a first portion having a first hole, a second portion which has a second hole having a larger inner diameter than the first hole and is disposed to be nearer to the rear end side than the first portion, and a shelf portion formed between the first portion and the second portion, a second insulating member having a cylindrical portion which has a through-hole extending in an axial line direction and is disposed in the first hole, and a center electrode having a rod-shaped portion disposed in the through-hole of the cylindrical portion. The second insulating member has a large-diameter portion which is disposed at the rear end side of the cylindrical portion, and has a larger outer diameter than the cylindrical portion. The large-diameter portion is directly or indirectly supported by the shelf portion of the first insulating member.
