MANUFACTURING METHOD OF ORNAMENTAL BOARD OF OYA TUFF STONE, AND THE ORNAMENTAL BOARD OF OYA TUFF STONE
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of an ornamental board of Oya tuff stone, capable of obtaining a finished product in a short time by painting on and firing a board of Oya tuff stone containing miso (brown specks of clay mineral).SOLUTION: An Oya tuff stone including miso is cut into boards with a thickness of 5 mm to 15 mm. The front face and the rear face of the board of Oya tuff stone obtained is applied with a transparent glaze for Raku pottery. The entire is fired at a temperature of about 800°C to 1000°C for 10 minutes to 20 minutes in a kiln, and then cooled down to normal temperature. A pattern in which the miso is incorporated is drawn on the front face of the Oya tuff stone with a colored glaze for Raku pottery. The pattern is modified with a colored glaze for Raku pottery and subjected to firing at a temperature of about 800°C to 1000°C for 10 minutes to 20 minutes in a kiln, which is repeated until completion of the pattern. Finally the board is cooled down to normal temperature, so that an ornamental board of Oya tuff stone is obtained, making the best use of the natural miso in the pattern.
