PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protective pipe comprising a silicon nitride-based sintered body having high mechanical characteristic.SOLUTION: A protective pipe 1 comprises a nitride-based sintered body whose one end is opened and the other end is sealed, and which has a cylindrical trunk part 1a and a bottom part 1b containing an R part connected to the trunk part 1a. When the peak intensity of β-silicon nitride at 2θ=23.4° measured by an X-ray diffraction device using a Kα ray of Cu in a cross section along the thickness direction of the trunk part 1a is defined as A, and the peak intensity of the β-silicon nitride at 2θ=63.9°is defined as B, a value of B/A is 2 or more.
【課題】機械的特性の高い窒化珪素質焼結体からなる保護管を提供する。【解決手段】一端が開口し、他端が封止されており、筒状の胴部１ａと、胴部１ａと繋がるＲ部を含む底部１ｂとを有する窒化珪素質焼結体からなり、胴部１ａの厚み方向に沿った断面におけるＣｕのＫα線を用いたＸ線回折装置により測定される２θ＝23.4?のβ−窒化珪素のピーク強度をＡ、２θ＝63.9?のβ−窒化珪素のピーク強度をＢとしたとき、Ｂ／Ａの値が２以上の保護管１である。【選択図】図１
