PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slide base isolation mechanism to be installed between a support part, such as a structural floor, and a free-access floor, along with a construction method for the slide base isolation mechanism.SOLUTION: A slide base isolation mechanism includes a steel plate (plate material) 2 supported on a structural floor (support part) 11, a plurality of frame bodies 4 disposed on the steel plate 2, a plurality of sliding materials 3 fixed below the frame body 4 for slidably supporting the frame body 4 on the structural floor 11, and a restoration material 5 connecting the structural floor 11 and the frame body 4 and made of an elastic material that restores a displacement of the frame body 4 relative to the structural floor 11, and a connecting material 6 connecting the adjacent frame bodies 4. A support post 72 of a free-access floor 7 is fixed on the frame body 4 at a location vertically above and corresponding to the sliding material 3, and a space is left between the adjacent frame bodies 4 for installing the restoration material 5.
