PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for restricting a portable device from being erroneously determined that the portable device has moved to the outside of a determination area although the portable device exists inside the determination area.SOLUTION: A portable device is the device for performing radio communication with an on-vehicle device mounted on a vehicle, and includes acquisition means, first measurement means, and first determination means. The acquisition means acquires the signal intensity of radio communication with the on-vehicle device. The first measurement means measures the acceleration speed of the portable device. The first determination means determines whether the portable device exists inside the determination area in the circumference of the vehicle on the basis of the signal intensity acquired by the acquisition means and the acceleration speed measured by the first measurement means. The first determination means estimates a distance between the portable device and the vehicle on the basis of the acceleration speed, and determines that the portable device does not exist inside the determination area when the distance is equal to or more than a first threshold (S304:YES) and also the signal intensity is equal to or less than a second threshold (S305:YES).
【課題】携帯装置が判定エリア内に存在するにもかかわらず携帯装置が判定エリアの外へ出たと誤判定されることを抑制する技術を提供する。【解決手段】携帯装置は、車両に搭載された車載装置と無線通信を行う装置であって、取得手段と、第一の測定手段と、第一の判定手段と、を備える。取得手段は、車載装置との間の無線通信の信号強度を取得する。第一の測定手段は、当該携帯装置の加速度を測定する。第一の判定手段は、取得手段により取得された信号強度と、第一の測定手段により測定された加速度と、に基づき、当該携帯装置が車両周辺の判定エリア内に存在するか否かを判定する。第一の判定手段は、加速度に基づき、当該携帯装置と車両との間の距離を推定し、距離が第一のしきい値以上（Ｓ３０４：ＹＥＳ）であり、かつ、信号強度が第二のしきい値以下（Ｓ３０５：ＹＥＳ）である場合に、当該携帯装置が判定エリア内に存在しないと判定する。【選択図】図５
