PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an eaves soffit structure capable of preventing an eaves soffit plate from coming off in a case of fire, while using a construction method for fastening the eaves soffit plate to an eaves soffit ceiling joist by a fastening member such as a nail.SOLUTION: An eaves soffit structure includes: a fascia backing 12 that is positioned on an eaves edge side; an eaves edge-side eaves soffit ceiling joist 13 to which the eaves edge side of an eaves soffit plate 17 is attached; a back-side plate 14a of an eaves edge-side parting 14, which is positioned between the eaves edge side of the eaves soffit plate 17 and the eaves edge-side eaves soffit ceiling joist 13 and on the downside of the fascia backing 12 and fixed to the fascia backing 12; and a nail 19 that fastens the eaves soffit plate 17 to the eaves edge-side eaves soffit ceiling joist 13 through the eaves soffit plate 17 and the back-side plate 14a.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
