PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light adjustment device that has a simplified structure and is excellent in durability.SOLUTION: A light adjustment device 10 has: a first light adjustment control panel 20; and a second light adjustment control panel 30. The first light adjustment control panel and the second light adjustment control panel include a polarizer, respectively. The polarizer includes a plurality of unit regions US formed by dividing the region of the polarizer in a relative movement direction da of the first light adjustment control panel and the second light adjustment control panel. The plurality of unit regions are distributed to a first to n group in order in which the unit regions are lined up in the relative movement direction. A transmission axis between the unit regions belonging to one group is parallel with each other, and the transmission axis between the unit regions belonging to a different group is non-parallel with each other. At least one of the polarizer of the first light adjustment control panel and the polarizer of the second light adjustment control panel is a wire-grid polarizer.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
