PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To relax concentration of heat stress on a boundary zone barrier, and prevent generation of a crack, in an exhaust gas purification filter.SOLUTION: An exhaust gas purification filter 1 comprises a honeycomb structure 2 and a plug part 3 for partially closing end faces 28, 29 of the honeycomb structure in an axial direction X. The honeycomb structure 2 comprises plural cell density areas 23 in which, cell density is different in each area, and a boundary zone barrier 24 formed between the adjacent cell density areas 23, and partitioning them. Cells 22 are formed of boundary zone cells 221 contacting the boundary zone barrier 24, and internal cells 222 not contacting the boundary zone barrier 24 and formed by being surrounded by a cell wall 21. The internal cells 222 are closed by the plug part 3 on one of both end faces 28, 29 in the axial direction X. The all boundary zone cells 221 are closed by the plug part 3 on one of end faces 28, 29 out of both end faces 28, 29 in the axial direction X.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】境界隔壁における熱応力の集中を緩和し、クラックの発生を防止することができる排ガス浄化フィルタを提供すること。【解決手段】ハニカム構造体２と、その軸方向Ｘの端面２８、２９を部分的に閉塞する栓部３とを有する排ガス浄化フィルタ１である。ハニカム構造体２は、セル密度が異なる複数のセル密度領域２３と、隣り合う該セル密度領域２３同士の間に形成され、かつ両者を隔てる境界隔壁２４とを有する。セル２２は、境界隔壁２４に接する境界セル２２１と、境界隔壁２４に接することなくセル壁２１に囲まれて形成された内部セル２２２とを有する。内部セル２２２は、軸方向Ｘにおける両端面２８、２９のいずれか一方において栓部３によって閉塞されている。全ての境界セル２２１は、軸方向Ｘにおける両端面２８、２９のうちのいずれか一方の端面２８、２９において栓部３によって閉塞されている。【選択図】図１
