PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a door frame device that enhances degree of freedom of surface design selection, and a cap member and an installation method for the door frame device.SOLUTION: A door frame device 1 includes: an upper frame member 40 having at least worked and exposed width-direction surfaces 45, 45 and a depth-direction surface 46 formed as substrate surfaces on which a surface finishing sheet 7 may be bonded readily; vertical frame members 10, 20 on both sides connected respectively to each edge part of the upper frame member in a longer-side direction, having worked and exposed width-direction surfaces 15, 15, 25 and depth-direction surfaces 16, 26 formed as substrate surfaces on which the surface finishing sheet 7, 7 may be bonded readily; a rail member 50 having a guide groove 51 formed over an entire length and fitted on the upper frame member; and cap members 60, 60 fitted on the rail member to close each of openings on both sides in the longer-side direction of the guide groove of the rail member.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
