PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hand wash basin making a discharge port easily visible to be easy to use even when the hand wash basin is installed in a narrow toilet room.SOLUTION: A hand wash basin which is installed in a counter of a toilet room having an entrance frontage of 800 mm or less and buried in a wall surface includes: a hand wash basin body which has a back part buried in the wall surface, and an upper part upward inclined from the upper end of the back part and projected to outside the wall surface; and discharge means which is provided with a discharge hole for discharging water, and installed on the upper part. 【課題】狭いトレイルームに設置される手洗い器においても、吐水口を視認し易く使い勝手のよい手洗い器を提供する。【解決手段】入口間口が800ｍｍ以下のトイレルームのカウンターに設置され、壁面に埋め込まれる手洗い器であって、壁面に埋め込まれる背部と、前記背部の上端から上方に傾斜し、前記壁面外部に突出された上部と、を有する手洗い器本体を有し、水を吐出する吐水孔が設けられ、前記上部に設置される吐水手段と、を備え前記吐水手段は上部から突出していることを特徴とする手洗い器。【選択図】図１７
