EXHAUST GAS TREATING HONEYCOMB CATALYST AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust gas treating honeycomb catalyst which exhibits high denitration performance when an exhaust gas at a low temperature (approximately 70 to 250°C) is treated and is hardly deactivated when a poisoning component including an alkali metal or an alkaline earth metal (especially calcium) and an exhaust gas containing much of ammonium sulfate are used.SOLUTION: There is provided an exhaust gas treating honeycomb catalyst which comprises a carrier consisting of a mixture of two or more different inorganic single oxides or inorganic composite oxides and an active metal component, where the difference (SA-SA) between the specific surface area by a BET method and the specific surface area of the catalyst pores of 5 nm to 5 μm by a mercury penetration porosimetry method is in the range of 25 to 35 m/g.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】低温(70〜250℃程度)の排ガスを処理した場合に高い脱硝性能を発揮し、さらにアルカリ金属またはアルカリ土類金属(特にカルシウム)を含む被毒成分ならびに硫安類を多く含む排ガスに用いた場合であっても失活し難い、排ガス処理ハニカム触媒の提供。【解決手段】異なる2種類以上の無機単一酸化物または無機複合酸化物の混合物からなる担体と、活性金属成分とを含む排ガス処理ハニカム触媒であって、BET法による比表面積(SABET)と、水銀圧入ポロシメトリー法による5nmから5μmの触媒細孔の比表面積(SAHg)との差(SABET−SAHg)が25〜35m2/gの範囲にあることを特徴とする排ガス処理ハニカム触媒。【選択図】図1
