FRICTION AGITATION JOINTING TOOL
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the heat-resistance and the heat input of a friction agitation junction tool to be used in a friction agitation junction for jointing the members to be jointed by pushing a tool having a projection (or a probe part) while rotating the tool, by softening a portion of the member to be jointed by a frictional heat, and by agitating the softened part with the projection.SOLUTION: A friction agitation jointing tool is characterized by ceramics having a thermal conductivity of 34 W/mK or lower and a thermal shock fracture resistance coefficient of 8 kW/m or larger.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
【課題】突起部(プローブ部)を備えた工具を回転させながら被接合部材に押し込み、摩擦熱によって被接合部材の一部を軟化させ、軟化した部分を突起部によって攪拌することにより被接合部材を接合する摩擦攪拌接合において使用される、摩擦攪拌接合用工具の耐熱性と入熱性とを向上させる。【解決手段】摩擦攪拌接合用工具は、熱伝導率が34W/mK以下、且つ、熱衝撃破壊抵抗係数が8kW/m以上のセラミックスを有することを特徴とする。【選択図】図5
