NOISE REDUCING MEMBER FOR STAIRCASE
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a noise reducing member for a staircase that is made of a rubber-reinforced vinyl-based resin appropriately blended with rubber, and is capable of effectively suppressing a squeaking noise generated between a tread board and a structural member of the staircase.SOLUTION: A staircase noise reducing member 5 is used with a staircase 1 having a tread board 2 and structural members 3, 4 in contact with the tread board 2. The noise reducing member 5 is disposed at a location where the tread board 2 is in contact with the structural members 3, 4, for suppressing a squeaking noise generated between the tread board 2 and the structural members 3, 4. The noise reducing member 5 is a molded body of a composition containing a rubber-reinforced vinyl-based resin. A rubber content in the total quantity of the rubber-reinforced vinyl-based resin of the noise reducing member 5 is between 5 and 60 mass%.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
