PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medium storage capable increasing the degree of freedom in layout of members disposed above a storage space for storing sheet like media (for example, an upper guide or the like for restricting the position of the media in a vertical direction) to increase the space where the members can be arranged.SOLUTION: A medium storage 11 has a storage space SP for storing sheet like media 9 therein. The medium storage 11 includes: an upper arranged member (for example, a cover part 32) arranged above the storage space SP; and a liquid injection mechanism 50 for injecting liquid via a liquid injection nozzle 51. The liquid injection direction of the liquid injection nozzle 51 is set in a direction toward a bottom face 32a of the upper arranged member.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
