PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foundation structure and a foundation construction method, which facilitate placing of a reinforcement for a footing beam.SOLUTION: A foundation structure includes: a footing 10 that is provided on a pile head 12H of a pile 12; a column 14 that is supported by the footing 10; and a footing beam 16 that is supported by a top surface 10F of the footing 10 and in which a lower end 14D of the column 14 is embedded. The footing 10 assumes a rectangular shape in a plan view, and its diagonal line connecting corners with each other is directed in a material axis direction of the footing beam 16.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
