PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cover plate, which enables a groove part to be formed on a body part in any shape by easy processing and can improve fatigue strength of a welding root part.SOLUTION: A cover plate 1 according to this invention is installed on a reinforcement surface 5a of one surface or both surfaces of a main member 5 and has a body part 2, which is formed into substantially tabular shape and attached by welding on the reinforcement surface 5a of the main member 5, and a groove part 3, which is formed by cutting out a rear side A of the body part 2 facing the reinforcement surface 5a of the main member 5. The groove part 3 has a predetermined residual plate thickness a at a groove bottom 30 of a front side B of the body part 2. The groove is formed along a side 22 on a short side of the body part 2 at a position separated by a predetermined separating distance d from the side 22 on the short side of the body part 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
【課題】如何なる形状の本体部に対しても容易な加工で溝部を設けることができるものとして、特に、溶接ルート部での疲労強度を向上させることのできるカバープレートを提供する。【解決手段】本発明を適用したカバープレート1は、主部材5の片面又は両面の補強面5aに取り付けられるものであり、略板状に形成されて主部材5の補強面5aに溶接により取り付けられる本体部2と、主部材5の補強面5aに対向する本体部2の裏面側Aを切り欠いて設けられる溝部3とを備える。溝部3は、本体部2の表面側Bの溝底30で所定の残存板厚aを有するものであり、本体部2の短辺側の側辺22から所定の離間距離dで離間させて、本体部2の短辺側の側辺22に沿って形成される。【選択図】図4
