PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To curb damage to a structural member and a surrounding building by absorbing explosion energy immediately after an explosion.SOLUTION: An explosion energy absorption mechanism comprises: structural members 21, 22 and 23 which are constructed around a gas supply facility 11; receiving member 31 and 32 which are placed opposite to the gas supply facility 11 and receive explosive pressure when gas explodes; and first energy absorption means 31b which movably connects the receiving members 31 and 32 to the structural members 21, 22 and 23 and absorbs explosion energy by being deformed when the receiving members 31 and 32 are moved.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
