PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a building of which fire protection capacity is not impaired even when a feeder pipe through which air flows penetrates through a fire protection wall.SOLUTION: A building 10 includes: a paper sheet feeder 18 that feeds a paper sheet by an air flow inside a feeder pipe 20; a sprinkler; and a fire protection wall 36 at a boundary between adjacent rooms. The feeder pipe 20 penetrates through the fire protection wall 36, and a feeder pipe portion 27a of the feeder pipe 20 at a location penetrating through the fire protection wall 36 is at a height lower than feeder pipe portions on an upstream side and a downstream side of the feeder pipe portion 27a. The paper sheet feeder further includes a water introduction part that fills water in the feeder pipe portion 27a at the lower height and closes the feeder pipe portion 27a at the lower height, by leading the water from the sprinkler into the feeder pipe 20 when a fire breaks out and the sprinkler is actuated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
【課題】空気流の生じる搬送管を防火壁を貫通させて設けても防火上支障のない建造物を提供する。【解決手段】搬送管20内を空気流によって紙葉類を搬送する紙葉類搬送装置18とスプリンクラーを備え、かつ隣接する部屋の境界部に防火壁36を有する建造物10であって、搬送管20が防火壁36を貫通して設けられ、搬送管20の防火壁36を貫通する部位の搬送管部27aが、搬送管部27aの上流側および下流側の搬送管部よりも低位に設けられ、火災が発生し、スプリンクラーが作動した際、該スプリンクラーからの水を搬送管20に導入して、低位の搬送管部27aに水を満たして該低位の搬送管部27aを閉塞する水導入部が設置されていることを特徴とする。【選択図】図5
