PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a construction period by starting partially opening of a side wall part of a temporary superstructure without waiting temperature rising of a furnace body, in a construction method of a coke oven including a step for covering the coke oven under construction on the foundation with the temporary superstructure having the side wall part and a roof part.SOLUTION: In a construction method of a coke oven, a side wall part includes a lower region on the foundation side, and an upper region on the roof part side, and the side wall part is constituted of a panel having a prescribed size at least in the lower region, and the lower region is opened ahead of the upper region by moving the panel individually.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1B
