PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To operate brake members of upper and lower brackets by one lever operation easily and quickly, and to achieve reductions in the number of constituting members and the size.SOLUTION: A handrail for a bathroom includes a vertical handrail body 11 which is arranged between a pair of lateral rod bodies 10a, 10b and is movable through brackets 20a, 20b and a lock mechanism 70 which stops the movements of the vertical handrail body. The lock mechanism includes: a lock lever 50 which is rotatably provided on one of the brackets, has a cam part 52 adjacent to an outer peripheral surface side of the lateral rod body, and can be locked on the bracket; a first brake member 40a brought into pressure-contact with an outer peripheral surface of the lateral rod body by the rotation of the lock lever; a lock member 60 which is rotatably provided on the other bracket and has a cam part 62 adjacent to an outer peripheral surface side of the lateral rod body; a second brake member 40b brought into pressure-contact with an outer peripheral surface of the lateral rod body by the rotation of the lock member; and a linkage operation member 80 which is loosely inserted in the vertical handrail body and has one end connected to the lock lever and the other end connected to the lock member.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
【課題】上下のブラケットの制動部材を一つのレバー操作によって容易かつ素早く行うことができ、構成部材の削減及び小型化を図ること。【解決手段】一対の横棒体10a,10bの間に配設され、ブラケット20a,20bを介して移動可能な縦手摺体11と、縦手摺体の移動を制止するロック機構70と、を具備する。ロック機構は、一方のブラケットに回動可能に設けられ、横棒体の外周面側に近接可能なカム部52を有すると共に、ブラケットに係止可能なロックレバー50と、ロックレバーの回動により横棒体の外周面に圧接される第1の制動部材40aと、他方のブラケットに回動可能に設けられ、横棒体の外周面側に近接可能なカム部62を有するロック部材60と、ロック部材の回動により横棒体の外周面に圧接される第2の制動部材40bと、縦手摺体内に遊挿され、一端がロックレバーに連結され、他端がロック部材に連結される連動操作部材80と、を具備する。【選択図】図3
