PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic surface treatment device and a method for installing the surface treatment device, which facilitate transportation and installation and which enable automatization of surface treatment.SOLUTION: An automatic surface treatment device 1 for applying predetermined treatment to a surface of an object M includes: a pair of first frames 2 which are provided with movable carriages 21, respectively, and which are fixed to the surface of the object M; a second frame 3 that is provided with a second movable carriage 31 and laid between the movable carriages 21; a connection frame 4 that is detachably arranged between the first frames 2; and a surface treatment device 5 that is arranged in the second movable carriage 31.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
