PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety device for a construction machine capable of urging an operator to exercise caution in accordance with a state of the construction machine.SOLUTION: A safety device for a construction machine includes: a state information acquisition section for acquiring state information on the state of the construction machine; a seat belt detection section for detecting whether a seat belt is fitted to an operator; and a control section for controlling a warning section to issue a warning on the basis of the state information when the seat belt is not fitted to the operator. The state information includes information on an operation position of a gate lock lever that is operated to be located at a locked position for making a command of an operation lever of the construction machine ineffective and an unlocked position for making the command of the operation lever effective. The control section controls the warning section to issue the warning when the operation position of the gate lock lever is the unlocked position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
