PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vertical board for a louver capable of enhancing both opening ratio and water cutoff ratio, along with a louver using the vertical board.SOLUTION: A vertical board is for a louver having an external face part and an internal face part. The vertical board includes at least a first curved part and a second curved part. The first curved part has a protruded surface on a first side in a width direction, while the second curved part has a protruded surface on a second side in the width direction. A first water cutoff part is provided on an edge of the first curved part, the first water cutoff part protruding toward the first side in the width direction and having a water cutoff groove and a guide fin formed thereon. A second water cutoff part is provided on an inner extension part of the edge of the first curved part, the second water cutoff part having a water cutoff groove formed thereon. The first curved part, the second water cutoff part, and the second curved part are provided continuously in the width direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
