PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting tool having a hard film formed on a surface of a cBN sinter body thereof, which can restrain the hard film from being torn off or peeled off at a cutting edge and has an excellent tool service life.SOLUTION: The cutting tool comprises at least a tool main body having a cBN sinter body at a site where a cutting edge is formed, and at least a hard film covering the site where the cutting edge of the tool main body is formed, which has a honing surface at a cross ridge-line part between a rake surface and a flank surface in which the cutting edge of the tool main body is formed. The honing surface includes: a first chamfer surface extending linearly in a direction of crossing the rake surface and the flank surface in a first cross section orthogonal to the cross ridge-line part; and a second chamfer surface extending linearly in a direction of the flank surface from an end part at the flank surface side of the first chamfer surface in the first cross section.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
