HONEYCOMB STRUCTURE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING HONEYCOMB STRUCTURE
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a honeycomb structure capable of maintaining a state in which a bonding layer has high strength and a low Young's modulus even after heat treatment, and a method for producing the honeycomb structure.SOLUTION: There is provided a honeycomb structure 100 which comprises: a plurality of columnar honeycomb segments 17 having porous partition walls for partitioning and forming a plurality of cells 2 extending from a first end surface 11 to a second end surface 12; and a porous bonding layer 15 which is arranged so as to bond side surfaces of the plurality of honeycomb segments 17 and contains crystalline anisotropic ceramics, wherein in the pore distribution of the bonding layer 15, when pores having a pore diameter of 10 μm or more and less than 50 μm are defined as fine pores and pores having a pore diameter of 50 μm or more and 300 μm or less are defined as coarse pores, the value of the ratio of the pore volume (cc/g) of the fine pores to the pore volume (cc/g) of the coarse pores is 2.0 to 3.5, the pore volume of the fine pores is 0.15 to 0.4 cc/g and the pore volume of the coarse pores is 0.05 to 0.25 cc/g.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
【課題】熱処理後においても接合層の強度が高く且つヤング率が低い状態が維持されるハニカム構造体及びハニカム構造体の製造方法を提供する。【解決手段】第一端面11から第二端面12まで延びる複数のセル2を区画形成する多孔質の隔壁を有する複数個の柱状のハニカムセグメント17と、複数個のハニカムセグメント17の側面同士を接合するように配置され、結晶質の異方性セラミックスを含有する多孔質の接合層15と、を備え、接合層15の細孔分布において、細孔径10μm以上50μm未満の細孔を微細気孔とし、細孔径50μm以上300μm以下の細孔を粗大気孔としたとき、粗大気孔の細孔容積(cc/g)に対する微細気孔の細孔容積(cc/g)の比の値は、2.0〜3.5であり、微細気孔の細孔容積が、0.15〜0.4cc/gであり、粗大気孔の細孔容積が、0.05〜0.25cc/gであるハニカム構造体100。【選択図】図2
