PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably absorb energy exerted on an input load.SOLUTION: An energy absorption device 20 comprises a first connection part 30 and a second connection part 32 which are arranged around a deformation axis L and to which one member and another member are respectively connected. An energy absorption part 36 connecting the first connection part 30 with the second connection part 32 is provided between the first connection part 30 and the second connection part 32 of the energy absorption device 20. The energy absorption part 36 comprises a plurality of curved parts 38 curved in a U shape which is open on one side in the axial direction of the deformation axis L, a plurality of inner extension parts 36B connecting the plurality of curved parts 38 with the first connection part 30 and a plurality of outer extension parts 36A connecting the plurality of curved parts 38 with the second connection part 32. The plurality of curved parts 38, the plurality of outer extension parts 36A and inner extension parts 36B are spaced from each other so as to enclose the deformation axis L when viewed from the axial direction of the deformation axis L.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4A
