PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical body that offers improved directional reflection performance for light in a specific wavelength band.SOLUTION: An optical body 1 includes a first optical transparent layer 4 having pyramidal recesses 4c, a wavelength-selective reflection layer 3 formed on the recesses 4c and designed to selectively reflect light in a specific wavelength band, and a second optical transparent layer 5 formed on the wavelength-selective reflection layer 3. When an incident angle to the optical body 1 is defined as an incident angle (θ, φ), an average reflection angle of reflection rays reflected in a same quadrant as incident rays for the incident rays entering an incident surface at θ=60° and different φ directions is 30° or greater, where θ represents an angle between a line normal to the second optical transparent layer 5 as an incident surface and an incident ray entering the incident surface, and φ represents an angle between a specific straight line within the incident surface and a component of the incident ray projected on the incident surface.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1A
