PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure and method for attaching a component unit to a pair of grooves in a base plate of an automatic door which facilitate attachment or removal, which is space-saving and which can reduce the number of components and a cost.SOLUTION: An automatic door comprises: a base plate which is formed of an extrusion material and which has a pair of grooves formed by opposing engaging pieces and having facing openings; an attachment member attached to the pair of grooves; and a component unit mounted to the attachment member. The attachment member is provided with: a pair of insertion parts to be inserted in the pair of grooves; a spike part projected from the surface opposite to the base plate of the attachment member; and a first elastic deformation part which can move at least one insertion part of the insertion parts in a direction of separating and keeping in contact with the opening of the groove elastically.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
