PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stepladder that may also be used as a work bench.SOLUTION: A stepladder 1 has a pair of right and left first and second leg parts 8, 11 placed to face each other at a top edge part and connected, the first and the second leg parts 8, 11 respectively comprising an upper ladder frame 2 and a lower ladder frame 4 connected to enable folding in two, and an upper ladder frame 3 and a lower ladder frame 5 connected to enable folding in two. A support shaft 14 is fitted horizontally on a top edge part and a rod-like engaged member 16 horizontally on a bottom edge part of the lower ladder frame 4, while a support shaft 15 is fitted horizontally on a top edge part and a rod-like engaged member 17 horizontally on a bottom edge part of the lower ladder frame 5. An edge side in a longer-side direction of rectangular tread boards 18, 19 is respectively pivoted rotatably on a right side of the support shaft 14 and a left side of the support shaft 15. When used as a stepladder, engaging means 60, 61 on the other edge side of the tread boards 18, 19 are engaged with the engaged members 17, 16. When used as a work bench, the stepladder 1 is folded in four and the engaging means 60, 61 on the other edge side of the tread boards 18, 19 are engaged with the support shafts 15, 14.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
