PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ferrite compound that can be used for a ferrite sintered magnet and the like, and has high saturation magnetization σs and high anisotropic magnetic field H.SOLUTION: A ferrite compound has a hexagonal M magnetoplumbite structure, and in a composition formula showing an atomic ratio of Ca, La, Fe and Co metal elements: CaLaFeCo, the x, z and n showing a molar ratio satisfy 0.3≤x≤0.6, 0.1≤z≤0.24 and 4.5≤n≤5.5, and saturation magnetization σs is 73 emu/g or more and anisotropy magnetic field His 1.6 MA/m or more.SELECTED DRAWING: None
【課題】フェライト焼結磁石等に用いることができる、高い飽和磁化σsと高い異方性磁界HAとを有するフェライト化合物の提供。【解決手段】六方晶のM型マグネトプランバイト構造を有し、Ca、La、Fe及びCoの金属元素の原子比率を示す組成式：Ca1-xLaxFe2n-zCozにおいて、前記x、z及びモル比を示すnが、0.3≦x≦0.6、0.1≦z≦0.24及び4.5≦n≦5.5を満足し、飽和磁化σsが73emu/g以上かつ異方性磁界HAが1.6MA/m以上であるフェライト化合物。【選択図】なし
