LOWER GUIDE STRUCTURE FOR FOLDING DOOR
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a freely opening-type lower guide member for a folding door that enables a door panel to be moved smoothly even when having tilted in an opening/closing direction.SOLUTION: A folding door 10 comprises a plurality of pairs of door panels having a side edge in a vertical direction connected to each other using a hinge 15. Both door panels 11, 12, 13, 14 of each of the pairs are supported by a suspension wheel member at a top edge near a side edge on an opposite side of the side edge with the hinge, the suspension wheel member being moved along an upper rail provided at a top edge of an opening. Furthermore, the door panels are supported by a lower guide member 20 at a bottom edge, the lower guide member being slidable along a lower rail with an open top provided at a bottom edge of the opening. A lower guide member 20 for the folding door is constituted such that the lower guide member 20 includes a roller 21 slidable along the lower rail 19 or movable around a vertical axis in a rolling motion, a support shaft 23 extending upward above the roller and connected to the door panel, and a ball joint 22 interposed at a connection between the roller 21 and the support shaft 23, for supporting the roller 21 and the support shaft 23 by roller fitting, so as to enable mutual rotation in tri-axial directions.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
【課題】 戸板が開閉方向に傾斜したとしても円滑に移動させることができるようにしたフリーオープンタイプの折り戸用下部ガイド部材を提供する。【解決手段】 蝶番１５により垂直方向の側縁が互いに接続された複数組の戸板から構成され、各組の双方の戸板１１，１２，１３，１４は、蝶番を備えた側縁とは反対側の側縁付近で、その上端が開口部の上端に設けられた上部レールに沿って移動する吊り車部材により支持され、またその下端が、開口部の下端に設けられた上方が開放した下部レールに沿って摺動し得る下部ガイド部材２０により支持されている折り戸１０に関し、下部ガイド部材２０が、下部レール１９に沿って摺動または垂直軸の周りに転動可能なローラ２１と、ローラの上方に向かって延び戸板に接続される支持軸２３と、ローラ２１と支持軸２３との接続部に介在し、ローラ２１と支持軸２３とを球嵌合により互いに三軸方向に回動可能に支持するボールジョイント２２と、を有するように、折り戸用下部ガイド部材１０を構成する。【選択図】 図６
