PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an expansion joint cover that maintains a good appearance and could enhance strength.SOLUTION: An expansion joint cover is for covering a clearance for movement 3 formed between a base-isolated structure 1 and an adjacent structure 2 for absorbing a quake when an earthquake strikes. The expansion joint cover includes a filling part 6 with a bottomed box-shaped case 4 that opens upward, in which a filler 5 is filled and hardened, and an enclosing part 9 on a side wall part 7 of the case 4 formed to protrude into the filling part 6 and enclose the filler 5 between a flange part 8 and the side wall part 7. The expansion joint cover further includes an enclosing member 10 pierced through and fixed on the side wall part 7, having the enclosing part 9 formed on an edge part and the other edge part butted against the side wall part 7 of the adjacent expansion joint cover for securing a prescribed joint width.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
【課題】見栄えを良好に維持することができ、強度の向上も期待し得るエキスパンションジョイントカバーの提供を目的とする。【解決手段】免震建造物１と隣接構造体２との間に形成されて地震発生時の揺れを吸収するための移動用間隙３を覆うエキスパンションジョイントカバーであって、上方に向かって開放する有底箱状のケース４内に充填材５が充填、硬化される充填部６を有するとともに、前記ケース４の側壁部７には、充填部６内に突出し、鍔部８により側壁部７との間で充填材５を抱き込む抱き込み部９を形成して構成する。また、前記側壁部７に貫通状に固定され、一端部に前記抱き込み部９が形成されるとともに、他端を隣接する他のエキスパンションジョイントカバーの側壁部７に衝接させて所定の目地幅を確保する抱き込み部材１０を有して構成する。【選択図】図３
