PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a solid electrolyte body for a gas sensor element, capable of being operated in a lower temperature by improving ion conductivity; a production method therefor; and the gas sensor element.SOLUTION: This invention relates to a solid electrolyte body 1 for gas sensor elements, comprising solid electrolyte particles 2 comprising zirconia including a stabilizer, having a solid electrolyte phase M having a plurality of solid electrolyte particles agglomerated therein. Two adjacent solid electrolyte particles in the solid electrolyte phase have particle interfaces 21 that are in direct contact with each other without a particle interface impurities layer therebetween.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
