PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reinforcing method and a reinforcing tool capable of achieving reinforcement and also suppressing deterioration in performance by a simple work.SOLUTION: The reinforcement method is a method for reinforcing a wooden building configured by joining a plurality of structural members, including a bridging step for bridging over a plate-like member made of a plastic composite material with respect to an opening of a frame of the wooden building formed by the surrounding plurality of structural members, and an adhering step for adhering both end parts of the plate-like member to the plurality of structural members forming the opening so that the plate-like member that is bridged over at the bridging step is fixed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
