PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vertical drain pipe washing equipment and a method for washing the vertical drain pipe using the same, that can remove a rigid solid matter such as rust adhering to an inner wall which is difficult to remove by high pressure water injection alone in the vertical drain pipe installed in a high-rise building, and has excellent transportability.SOLUTION: The vertical drain pipe washing equipment for washing the vertical drain pipe of the high-rise building from an opening formed on a low-rise side toward a high-rise side comprises: a shaft formed by connecting a plurality of shaft units, a core bit connected to a tip on the high-rise side of the shaft, a rotary drive mechanism to rotate the shaft, and a shaft elevating/lowering mechanism for elevating or lowering the shaft.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
