PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuous wall excavator having a configuration in which miniaturization is feasible.SOLUTION: The continuous wall excavator according to the present invention comprises a pair of long crawlers extending substantially in parallel, a pair of rails provided in the pair of long crawlers, and a carriage movable horizontally in a longitudinal direction of the long crawler on the pair of rails. The carriage comprises a main body part including a power source, and a portal leader, which can hold perpendicularly movably excavating tools including an endless cutter chain that is circularly movable, and which is disposed so as to straddle the pair of rails and is supported by the pair of long crawlers. The leader is hinge-connected to the main body part directly or indirectly so that it is rotatable with respect to the main body part in a state of being supported by the pair of long crawlers.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
