PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing element which is effortlessly mountable and has a large compression path in spite of being small-sized, and which tightly seals a gap between a sliding element and a door frame or a casing.SOLUTION: A sliding element comprises a sliding plate 10 and a sealing device comprising at least one sealing element 3 which is arranged on a rear side of the sliding plate and extends peripherally along an edge of the sliding plate. According to the present invention, the sliding plate comprises a base plate 11 and a flange plate 12. The flange plate is offset from the base plate and connected to the base plate in one piece, and separated from the base plate at the edge thereof by a peripheral anchor groove. The anchor groove serves for holding the at least one sealing element comprising an anchor member. The anchor member is inserted into the anchor groove and connected to a compression member via a connection body.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4b
