MANUFACTURING METHOD OF WATER SUPPLY EQUIPMENT MADE OF COPPER ALLOY IN FAUCET FITTING OR VALVE, AND WATER SUPPLY EQUIPMENT MADE OF COPPER ALLOY
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of water supply equipment containing antimony to improve dezincification resistance and stress corrosion cracking resistance while suppressing the leaching amount of the antimony and thereby suppressing an adverse effect to tap water, when manufacturing water supply equipment made of a copper alloy in a faucet fitting or a valve and liquid contact parts thereof by using a brass alloy superior in manufacturing performance, antibacterial property, recycling property and economical efficiency.SOLUTION: An etching treatment with a dilute sulfuric acid + hydrogen peroxide is applied onto a brass surface of water supply equipment including a γ phase dissolving antimony in a solid solution state to activate the surface. By performing at least one of film formation on the brass surface after the etching treatment and suppression of a liquid contact area of the brass surface of the water supply equipment, the antimony leaching from the water supply equipment to tap water is suppressed to a water quality threshold value or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】製造性、抗菌性、リサイクル性、及び経済性に優れた黄銅合金により水栓金具又はバルブとそれらの接液部品における銅合金製給水器材を製造したときに、アンチモンを含有させて耐脱亜鉛性や耐応力腐食割れ性を向上しつつ、このアンチモンの浸出量を抑えることで水道水に与える悪影響を抑えた給水器材の製造方法を提供することにある。【解決手段】アンチモンを固溶するγ相を含む給水器材の黄銅表面を薄硫酸+過酸化水素でエッチング処理して活性化し、このエッチング処理後の黄銅表面に皮膜形成するか、或は給水器材の黄銅表面の接液面積を抑制するかの少なくとも一方をおこなうことにより、給水器材から水道水に浸出するアンチモンを水質許容限界値以下に抑えるようにした。【選択図】図1
