PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for dismantling a nuclear reactor building, capable of opening up the options for a dismantling method of a reactor pressure vessel.SOLUTION: A dismantling method of a nuclear reactor building includes a first step of dismantling a reactor core internal structure of a reactor pressure vessel 3, a second step of removing connection piping of the reactor pressure vessel 3, a third step of dismantling a reactor thermal shield wall 4 inside which the reactor pressure vessel 3 is installed, a fourth step of dismantling the reactor pressure vessel 3 and a fifth step of dismantling a reactor containment vessel 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
