To provide a member which is lightweight and has excellent surface hardness, and a suitable method for producing the same.SOLUTION: A composite foam is provided which comprises a bead foam molded body 21 made from a thermoplastic resin and a foam sheet 22 made from a thermoplastic resin, and has an apparent density of 40-85 kg/m3, and in which the bead foam molded body 21 and the foam sheet 22 are heat-fusion bonded to each other. The foam sheet 22 comprises a first surface 22a heat-fusion bonded to the bead foam molded body 21 and a second surface 22b which is an opposite surface to the first surface 22a, and surface hardness of the second surface 22b is 2B or more by pencil hardness. In the composite foamed body, preferably, the foam sheet is thermoformed, and is a heat molded body having a three-dimensional shape. In the composite foamed body, preferably, the thermoplastic resin which is the same kind as the resin contained in the bead foam molded body is contained in the foam sheet, more preferably, the resin is a polystyrene resin.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
